New STEMester Grade 10 Program for 2019-2020

May 1, 2019 - Parkland School Division is partnering with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) to offer an exciting new opportunity for grade 10 students called STEMester. STEMester is an exciting one semester program which heightens the learning experience of Grade 10 students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This semester-long program will connect students with professional engineers and geoscientists working in their industries. Students will explore a variety of fascinating careers by visiting industry workplaces, maker spaces, and postsecondary institutions. Students will finish the semester by designing a project which helps the greater community. This program is funded through grants and the partnership with APEGA.
